Rush Midnight is the solo project of Russell Manning, the former bass player for Twin Shadow and formally trained jazz musician. Russ is Brooklyn born and bred, and his music tells the sonic story of coming up in a nonstop city. Inspired further by travels across Europe, Brazil and Australia, Rush Midnight’s debut EP, personifies the thrill, mystery and recklessness of abandoning the guidebook and surrendering to forces of fate. With George Lewis Jr. producing multiple tracks on the release, Plus One is a late night strut through downtown New York: stylish, stripped-down rock & roll.
